Once again the World Series of Poker is coming up soon, and once again players the world over are competing for a chance to play against the best poker players on the planet, and hopefully beat them to become the best poker player on Earth for the next year. The easiest way for a player to become part of the WSOP is for that player to enter an online WSOP satellite game. The problem is the fact that every online poker room seems to have a WSOP satellite, and it becomes difficult to distinguish the true opportunities for the advertising opportunities.
If you are looking for a true chance to make it to the World Series of Poker, look towards Hold 'Em Poker (www.holdempoker.com), which is hosting a 2006 WSOP satellite. This tournament will be held on Sunday, April 2nd, and will be the last qualifying tournament held by Hold 'Em Poker.com. This tournament is a freeroll tournament. The tournament style will be no-limit Texas Hold 'Em, with chip stacks of 1500 and blind increases every twelve minutes. According to www.holdempoker.com, the tournament is open to all of the winners from Hold 'Em Poker's "Mad March Top List," which means that chances are over for a tournament chance at the WSOP through Hold 'Em Poker. However, don't give up on Hold 'Em Poker just yet. The site is strong, yet is relatively unknown compared to many other poker sites. The best advice to get into the 2006 WSOP would of course be to go to another site that is still offering changes to get into the World Series of Poker.
Before you go to those sites, however, take a moment to bookmark Hold 'Em Poker. Given their unfamiliar status and fairly soft games, you may want to look at this site next year when you're looking for a satellite site to get you into the 2007 World Series of Poker.
